This is a rare collector’s piece featuring a mesmerizing “Cat Eye” figure on the cap—a luminous, natural oval with a fine pupil line that shifts under light (Chatoyancy).

The Legend of the Wood: Crafted from Golden Cudrania (Zhe Mu), known in ancient Eastern history as the “Emperor’s Wood.” Its heartwood was historically the only source for the brilliant yellow dye used exclusively for the Emperor’s Dragon Robes.

There is an old proverb: “Ten Zhe trees, nine are hollow.” Finding a solid burl block large enough to craft a seamless pen is incredibly rare, making this piece a true survivor of nature.
